Healthy Beginnings – Prenatal Education & Support
For over 30 years, MOMS has provided comprehensive perinatal health education and promotion, case management, and health system navigation to the Orange County community. Our program pairs you with a highly trained Maternal Child Health Worker who will meet with you monthly during your pregnancy and through your baby’s first year. Monthly visits include evidence-based education on your pregnancy and postpartum care and your baby’s development and are also tailored to meet your individual needs, whether it’s helping you find a prenatal care provider, manage gestational diabetes, sign up for health insurance or nutrition benefits, or enroll in health education classes. Whatever you need, we are here to help.
Pregnancy Education and Support
During your pregnancy, your monthly visits will focus on physical and mental health, health access and navigation, connection to community resources, and preparing for birth and postpartum. We will assess your needs and provide resources and referrals to our extensive network of community partners. We will also help you build lifelong skills including self-advocacy, how to cope with stress, and how to build your support system.
Services are offered in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
Prenatal Classes
Our prenatal classes help you feel more confident as you start your parenting journey. Facilitated by trained health educators who specialize in child development, lactation, and childbirth education, our classes will equip you with resources, tools, and knowledge to understand the options available to you and make informed choices to give your baby the healthiest start possible.
