A series of classes that focuses on fetal development and the importance of prenatal care, self-care, nutrition, and exercise during pregnancy
A series of classes covering pregnancy anatomy and physiology, prenatal care, preparation for labor and delivery, postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
Taller para Papás (Workshop for New Fathers)
Veteran fathers and their new infants act as mentors to fathers-to-be in a “fathers only” workshop where issues such as diapering, feeding, burping, swaddling, bathing, infant safety, holding and comforting a crying infant are discussed right along with more complex matters such as prevention of child abuse, the balance between work and family responsibilities, and a changing relationship with their mate.
Mommy & Me
A series of infant development workshops where age appropriate activities to stimulate mental and physical development are demonstrated to mothers and babies in a fun and creative group environment. After graduating from the Mommy & Me program, mothers are provided with infant development curriculum and guidance from staff to conduct weekly play groups in their local neighborhoods.
Breastfeeding Education & Support Groups
A series of prenatal classes that provide education, resources, and instruction to pregnant women who are planning to breastfeed. After birth, mothers are invited to attend weekly breastfeeding support groups for additional information, support, and encouragement to have a positive and successful breastfeeding experience.
Pregnancy & Diabetes Education & Support Groups
A series of classes that educates clients about maintaining blood glucose in the target range through proper nutrition and exercises, accessing appropriate medical care to promote healthy birth outcomes, and the benefits of exclusively breastfeeding after birth.
